What is Global Marketplace:

The Global Marketplace includes six “store fronts”, each distinguished by the type of products, the distribution of impact and the level of commissions within each storefront. The six “store fronts” are: Products of Fair Trade, Products of HUB Microloans, Purchases for Good, Compassionate Commerce, Products of Hub Faculty, and HUB Tools and Accessories. In the future, other storefronts may be opened as we develop relationships with impactful programs and partners from all corners of the globe who share HUB’s vision of creating a world that works for everyone.

In Products of Fair Trade, you will find products that Shauna has procured during her trips around the world and through other fair trade groups. Fair trade’s underlying philosophy is not how cheap you can buy it, but how much impact you can create in the lives of the artisans and farmers that make the products who are seeking an economic solution out of poverty.  The products come from a variety of sources: individual artisans, home based craft shops, family enterprises, village cooperatives, small businesses, and farming trade groups. Shauna is diligent in her research to assure that the artisans are paid a fair wage, and the products are produced in a safe and environmentally sustainable environment.

In the Products of HUB Microloans section, we feature products that are sourced through Impact Partners that HUB supports through microloans, training, introductions and/or other income generating means. Some of these products include crafts made by Kimmie Week’s “Youth Action International”, “The Korogocho Women’s Microloan Group”, and “The Hope Bank”. The products that these groups produce are featured in this storefront creating a guaranteed market and an income stream for these hard working individuals.

Purchases for Good is a store front that we have created where all the purchases made here are delivered to an impact recipient. These purchases include the “I Am Affirmation” books that you purchase for delivery to appropriate organizations such as schools, orphanages, hospitals, etc, a pair of goats that you purchase for delivery to a family in Rwanda, chickens for Bolivia, trees for agriculture in Liberia or to replant the rainforest in Brazil. This section also includes many of the HUB Impact programs that provide food, water, education and/or financing.

The store front entitled “Compassionate Commerce” contains products that are primarily consumed on a daily basis, that are produced by socially responsible companies that have passed our selection criteria for being “triple sustainable.” They are committed to improving the lives of others and are in alignment with the mission of HUB. By redirecting purchases thru HUB’s Global Marketplace you provide impact to many HUB initiated programs.

Products of HUB Faculty is a store front currently under construction and will open soon.

HUB Tools and Accessories are HUB logo products and kits that are designed to help you promote HUB, identify you as a HUB member, and assist you in growing your business.

The rules governing the level of commissions and impact is different depending on the store visited. HUB members should log into their back office under “The Training Center” for detailed information regarding earning commissions through the Global marketplace. Non-members who are interested in learning about how commissions can be earned, should contact the person that referred them to this site.

IT”S YOUR CHOICE:

The Global Marketplace is the portal for shopping in the new Cause Driven Economy. Where you can direct the impact you make by the selection of the products you purchase. The Global Marketplace is where you can select who, where, how, and how much impact you want to make in the world by the products you select to purchase. You choose the cause, you choose the country, and you choose the amount.

Each product has a bonus volume (BV) associated with it.  The bonus volume (BV) counts toward your minimum monthly purchase amount.

Within the six different store fronts you will find a wide range of possible purchases including crafts, services, vegetation, scholarships, school supplies, life stock, trees, nutritional, books, clothes, household items, etc. all designed to enable you to redirect money you probably already spend toward covering your minimum monthly purchase pledge with HUB and doing well by doing good. Or, if you choose, you can continue to purchase the same HUB "total package" of food, water, education and microloans as you have in the past.

In several store fronts a commission can be earned, and a percentage of the purchase amount goes toward impact programs. Some products have a shipping and handling charge involved, while others are "virtual" and there is no charge for shipping and handling. Some products are "gifts" while others are for personal use. Some items contribute to sustaining the economic life of a small business venture, while others contribute to a sustained economic and environmental future through the social entrepreneurial practices of the manufacture.

All in all the choice is up to you, OR you choose to make no purchase at all, and by default your monthly purchase will continue to support a HUB initiated project as it has in the past.

BONUS VOLUME:

Each product has a bonus volume (BV) associated with it.  The bonus volume (BV) counts toward your minimum monthly purchase amount.  This BV is tracked and totaled for you at checkout.  If you are short of your desired amount, you can either opt for the balance to be automatically added, or go back and continue shopping.

MULTIPLE WAREHOUSES

With the cadre of products available in the Global Marketplace, it is possible that your order may be shipped from multiple warehouses. Please be assured that you will not incur multiple shipping costs and that your "shipping and handling fee"
